Peter Richards

Peter Richards is the CEO of Parkalytics, a software company leading the drone parking revolution. Parkalytics specializes in delivering insights into parking utilization for complex, high-demand environments such as cities, large developments, campuses, and major event venues. The methodology for Parkalytics relies on the deployment of drones equipped with high-resolution imaging to collect data at regular intervals, processed through Parkalytics’ proprietary machine learning software.

Peter has over 22 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering, with a focus on curbside management, parking strategies, and parking technologies. Peter is on the Open Mobility Foundation Technology Council, and is also the Former Chair of the Parking Standing Committee for the Institute of Transportation Engineers. Peter has completed over 50 of parking strategies for cities and universities across North America. Peter has vast experience with curbside management, acting as the consultant project manager for the City of Toronto's Curbside Management Strategy nearly 10 years ago, as well as managing two recent and large Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) projects - the Curb Space Management Strategy, and the Curb Space Data Collection & Inventory Study.
