Technical professional with over two decades of expertise in Information Assurance, Innovation & and Technology management. Holds an undergraduate Degree in Technical Management, Master’s Degree in Information Assurance, CISSP certified since 2012, PCIP, CEH, and continuously engages in formal executive certificates at accredited universities
Currently serving as Assistant Information Technology Director & CISO for the City of Coral Gables as well as the Local Agency Security Officer for the Coral Gables Police Agency. During my career I have focused on architecting, designing, securing, modernization and maintaining complex municipal networks. Written Policies, Procedures, strategies and spearhead several ongoing compliance programs to maintain the municipality and the agency in continuous compliance with FBI/FDLE/ PCIDSS/DHHS
Played a crucial role in the design-built and modernization of the City’s award-winning Smart City and Smart Policing environment. Familiar with managerial process of public government including procurement and obtaining grants. Played a key role in obtaining grants to upgrade and modernize the City’s 911 PSAP for the last 3 refresh cycles. Represented the City in technical conferences as a keynote speaker and written several articles.
