Professional Bio
As VP of Business Development for Zenobe, I lead efforts to expand Zenobe’s footprint for support the bus and shuttle industry to convert over to zero emission fleets in the North American market. I have spent my career developing transportation solutions that deliver maximum benefit to clients and those they serve. My leadership capabilities, operational management and business development expertise have made me an asset to private and public industries with diverse and innovative transportation needs.
As President of Loop Transportation, I won and managed the accounts of some the most demanding and innovative companies in the world, including Google, Apple, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Onyx, Genentech, and Visa Corporation. I steered Loop through a 5-year period of unprecedented exponential growth to become the largest private transportation provider in Silicon Valley and the 7th largest privately owned operator in the United States. In recognition of my achievement of improving the daily lives of people who live and work in Silicon Valley, I received a Letter of Commendation and October 10th is known as Matt Curwood Day.
In 2021, I was hired by Arrival Automotive for a period of 2 years to set up and expand the manufacturing of electric buses and vans for Australian and New Zealand. Based in Melbourne, Australia he led the Arrival team by creating and implementing an $8 billion strategic plan initiative for the company’s expansion into the Southern Hemisphere. Leading up to my current role with Zenobe, I oversaw the bus division for Voltera in building and operating EV infrastructure.
Born in Australia, I obtained his Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning and Design from the Royal Institute of Technology, Melbourne. I am a Transdev Leadership Graduate, an advisory board member for BusUp as well as a Board member of the Australian American Chamber of Commerce.
