Professional Bio
Jeff Myers is a research associate with the Deep Decarbonization Institute at UC San Diego. His work focuses on climate policy and decarbonization, with present projects focused on drivers' behaviors when charging electric vehicles (EVs), how quickly workplaces should install chargers to support commuters' needs, and integrating EV charging with power grids. His past research includes work on recessions shaping early US elections, the relative merits of political redistricting systems, and how meter socket adapters can facilitate distributed energy resources. He earned his Master's in Public Policy from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at UC San Diego with a focus on quantitative methods as well as environmental and energy policy.
