Diego Romero

Diego is a Principal at Walker Consultants and leads the Building Envelope, Forensics, and Restoration practice in Chicago. He holds a Doctorate’s Degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering from the University of Miami. He is a registered Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer and has extensive experience in concrete durability and evaluation and repair design of existing structures. Diego has a passion to problem solve and assist owners and asset managers with long term planning of their facilities and execution of capital repair projects. Diego specially enjoys working on Higher-education, Airport, and Healthcare projects due to their complexity and multiple parties involved. Diego is the Immediate past president for the International Concrete Repair Institute Chicago chapter, was recognized as one of the Top 40 under 40 professionals in the repair/rehabilitation field, and is an associate member of several American Concrete Institute committess that deal with assessment and repair of existing structures.
