Professional Bio
A native New Mexican, Christine Evans graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Mexico (UNM) with a BBA in Organizational Leadership. With over 25 years of experience in parking and transportation services, she currently serves as the Associate Director for Business and Administration at UNM Parking and Transportation Services (PATS). In this role, Christine collaborates closely with the management team to oversee parking services for more than 25,000 students, faculty, and staff.
As the associate director, Christine directs parking and transportation for campus events, fostering partnerships with various UNM departments and external stakeholders, including Popejoy Hall Public Events, UNM Athletics, UNM Resident Life and Student Housing, the City of Albuquerque, American Campus Communities, and the University of New Mexico Hospital. Her dedication to community engagement is evident in her active role on the Student Activities Campus Events Committee
Previously, Christine was the General Manager for Airport Shuttle, where she developed expertise in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and transportation operations management. She has successfully managed large-scale event parking, including events with attendance exceeding 10,000, and has coordinated transportation for major events such as the International Balloon Fiesta.
Christine's leadership is marked by her ability to navigate complex environments effectively. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys traveling with her husband and four children, embracing new cultures and challenges. A proud member of the UNM community—where all four of her children have graduated—Christine embodies the "Everyone's a Lobo" spirit. Her professional goal is to adeptly navigate UNM's multifaceted parking and transportation landscape, contributing to the institution's goals and supporting UNM's 2040 vision.
