Understanding and Supporting Mental Health on the Frontline
Having an under-resourced workplace means we are called upon to do more with less. This brings about tremendous pressure to deliver the goods and services that customers, colleagues, and stakeholders depend on from us. Today’s customers have higher expectations of what we can or should provide them, which increases the need to understand and address our mental health.
This session will provide attendees with relevant and practical knowledge on how we approach the issue of mental health, why it is imperative to check in consistently, and what strategies can be employed to help address and mitigate issues that might negatively impact us both personally and professionally.
Learning Objectives:
-
Explore ways to understand better and apply mental health concepts to benefit yourself and others.
-
Discuss how to create a supportive environment both personally and professionally.
-
Describe ways to practice daily self-care to impact your mental health positively.
