About the course: In this on-demand course you will learn about identifying placemaking strategies and how to use them in various projects. Identify best practices to improve access to mass transit. Describe the benefits of external wayfinding systems. And identify four types of parking guidance systems used within facilities. This course aligns with Section B: Programs - Placemaking, Access to Mass Transit, Wayfinding Systems Internal and Wayfinding Systems External of the Parksmart Standard.
In this course, you will learn how to:
- Describe the benefits and strategies of placemaking as it relates to parking structure design.
- Illustrate ways your facility can improve access to mass transit.
- Identify the components and plan next steps of an effective external wayfinding system.
- Recognize four types of parking guidance systems used within facilities, and their benefits.
