RFI: Parking Enforcement and Automatic License Plate Reading (ALPR) Technology Modernization

The City of Seattle is seeking responses for Request for Information: Parking Enforcement and Automatic License Plate Reading (ALPR) Technology Modernization, to be submitted through the Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/seattle, no later than 12:00 am on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather information about commercially available technologies that support modern parking enforcement operations.
This RFI is intended solely for information gathering and market research purposes. It is not a solicitation for proposals, bids, pricing, or contractual commitments. Information received may be used to help define future procurement strategies and requirements.
SPD is seeking to better understand available technologies, implementation approaches, integration capabilities, and innovative solutions that improve parking enforcement operations while supporting future operational needs.
