Carl DePinto

Carl DePinto, MBA, is the Senior Executive Director of Parking and Transportation Services at Duke University and Duke Health, the 2018 IPMI Organization of the Year. Carl has been at Duke for almost 12 years and his responsibilities include the university, medical center, numerous offsite medical locations and all athletic event parking and transportation services. He has more than 35 years of parking experience in healthcare, university, hospitality, and major sporting events. Duke Parking and Transportation oversees 29,000 parking spaces with multiple garages and operates its own transit system that moves more than 4 million riders through its system annually. Prior to Duke, Carl was the first parking director for New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and Columbia and Cornell Medical Colleges in New York, and he implemented valet parking and transient parking operations at Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey , where he created a new parking department, rolled out new parking locations and trained staff on operational effectiveness and efficiency for the main hospital and cancer center. Carl is a past President and Board Member of the Carolinas Parking and Mobility Association and has his MBA in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
