Introversion & Extroversion: What’s Your Personality Superpower?
When we think about successful professionals' key characteristics and traits, we often describe attributes associated with extroverts. In some settings, extroverts may be considered more charismatic and interesting or even smarter than their less talkative counterparts. How did we determine the superiority of extroverts… is this assumption accurate?
Introverts offer a unique perspective when planning or problem-solving, yet because they’re not always as outspoken as their extroverted colleagues, their quieter contributions may be overlooked. When problems arise, extroverts see “what is,” while introverts ask, “what if.” Finding a balance between action and reflection is essential if we are to create and sustain healthy organizations.
This session will review the traits and strengths attributed to introverts and extroverts and include information about the importance of establishing a healthy mix of styles to accomplish organizational goals effectively.
Learning Objectives:
-
