Professional Bio

A parking, transportation, and mobility executive with 20+ years’ experience implementing projects, programs, standards, and pilots to benefit the industry; Rachel represents IPMI members world-wide who manage 100,000+ parking facilities and the curbside environment. An advocate for sustainable programs that incentivize consumer behavior, Rachel has been instrumental in finding common ground among diverse stakeholders, and connecting innovative and progressive people, policies, and programs. Rachel spearheads strategic initiatives to advance the industry, including electric vehicle infrastructure planning, resources, events, and education. She leads IPMI’s EV Readiness Cohort and Smart Transportation Task Force, collaborating with hundreds of volunteers to drive strategic initiatives, and serves as a member of the CHARGE Coalition.

A Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) and a LEED AP, Rachel spearheaded the sustainability movement in parking and mobility, integrating this expertise together for maximum on-the-ground impact in operations and mobility, including comprehensive programs leading to standards and specifications to advance the industry, These efforts culminated in the launch of Parksmart, acquired by the USGBC/GBCI alongside the suite of LEED products, for sustainable and high-performing parking structures. As Editor and contributing author for major publications, she has elevated the “study” of parking and mobility to college-level curricula. IPMI’s Sustainable Parking Design and Management: A Practitioner’s Handbook; and A Guide to Parking are now ‘required’ reading for industry professionals.
