Josh Stone, PTMP

Josh has worked in the parking, transportation, & mobility industry since 2011 in various roles. He started out as a Parking Officer at the University of Central Oklahoma working there for over 7 years, including the final 4 as the Director. while in Oklahoma he championed the expansion of maintenance to facilities, the use of technology, and the expansion of communication to the campus community. Since 2019, Josh has worked at Virginia Commonwealth University, leading their parking & transportation efforts as the Executive Director. He has led the efforts to improve maintenance, parking solution offerings, purchasing a parking garage, enhancing transportation, and leading the department to an award of APO with Distinction in 2023 and IPMI Organization of the Year in 2025.

Within the industry Josh served several years, from 2018, - 2024 on the Campus Parking & Transportation Board of Directors, including 2023 as Vice President and 2024 as President. Since 2024 Josh has served as a member of the IPMI Board of Directors.

Josh lives in Midlothian, VA with his wife and two children. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in history from Northern Michigan University and a Master of Arts degree in history-museum studies from the University of Central Oklahoma. Josh earned his PTMP (formerly CAPP) credential in 2019.
