The call for nominations will be open January 21 though February 11, 2026
The IPMI Certification Board is pleased to announce its Call for Nominations for individuals interested in serving as members of the Certification Board.
The Role of the Certification Board
The Certification Board is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date body of knowledge, establishing a benchmark of excellence for the global parking, transportation, and mobility industry, and providing a means by which parking, transportation and mobility professionals may demonstrate their proficiency and competency and be recognized by their peers, employers, regulatory agencies, customers, and the public.
2026 Election and Open Positions
There are two (2) open seats on the Certification Board for a three-year term beginning June 2026.
Certification Board Responsibilities and Commitments
If nominated, approved, and added to the Certification Board slate, candidates agree to:
- To maintain IPMI organizational membership in good standing.
- To maintain PTMP (previously CAPP) certification during entire period of Board service.
- To participate in one in-person Board meeting annually.
- To participate in quarterly virtual meetings.
- To secure funding or employer support and commit to attending the IPMI Annual Conference & Expo, which includes required Board meetings.
- To adhere to the PTMP Code of Conduct and IPMI confidentiality, anti-trust, and Board policies.
- That elected Certification Board members may not serve on the IPMI Education Development Committee, the Accredited Parking Organization (APO) Board, nor on the IPMI Board of Directors.
Eligibility Criteria for Certification Board Candidates
To prepare for the strategic role required of a Certification Board member, all criteria must be met to determine eligibility:
- Holds current PTMP (previously CAPP) designation.
- Candidate is not a current member of the IPMI Board of Directors, the Accredited Parking Organization (APO) Board, nor the Education Development Committee.
- Has maintained a minimum of five years of continuous PTMP (previously CAPP) certification.
Submission Requirements for Certification Board Candidates
Submissions are due no later than February 11, 2026
All nomination materials must be submitted through the online submission form.
The form provides access to the required PDF application and allows you to upload your completed materials.
Please note that this information may be shared with the membership as part of the election process.
Required submission materials include a completed PDF application containing:
- Contact information.
- Narrative demonstrating candidate’s eligibility for Board service of 100 words or less.
- Brief biography of 150 words or less.
- Election platform of 100 words or less summarizing approach and objectives for Board service.
Additional upload:
- Professional headshot (original image file .jpg or .tif of at least 300 dpi or 1 MB).
Nominating Committee and Slate Approval
The Certification Board Nominating Committee will review submissions and recommend a slate of eligible nominees to the Certification Board. After the Board approves the slate of nominees, selected candidates will be notified and provided additional details on the election schedule, process, and rules for candidates running for the Certification Board.
