This course was created by the Education Development Committee. This on-demand webinar style course explores the benefits and potential issues paid parking and free parking each can have for your organizations, stakeholders, and community neighborhoods. This course uses case studies and examples to illustrate the process for determining what is best for your municipality, neighborhoods, and businesses.

In this course you will learn how to:

  • Describe and understand the need for paid versus free parking.
  • Recognize and understand the advantages and disadvantages of paid parking versus free parking.
  • Compare whether paid parking, free parking, or a combination of both is best for your organization.
  • Illustrate how parking is a tool for economic development.

Course Credits: 1 CAPP point
