RFP: Mobile Payment Provider

The City of Cincinnati’s Department of Public Services – Parking Division has a current agreement with two mobile payment providers to provide a pay-by-phone platform for the on-street parking operation. Currently the City derives a significant percentage of meter revenue from mobile payments and has one of the nation’s best mobile payment adoption rates. The City is nearing the end of a three-year agreement and (2) one-year extensions (February 2026), and to ensure minimal to no service interruption for the mobile payment app users, the City is starting the process of selecting another (or same) mobile payment provider. Additionally, the City will be extending their current agreement for one year to allow for any program changes and a complete on-street sign refresh. Lastly, the shift from payments at the meters to the mobile payment process has allowed the City to reduce reliance on physical infrastructure and decrease the cost of ownership for the on-street parking operation.
