Our higher education member roundtable on October 3 will be moderated by Dan Hofmann, Director of Parking and Transportation Services at Clemson University, and Sheryl Boyd, Assistant Director of Parking and Transportation Services at Chapman University. During the roundtable, Dan and Sheryl will talk about technology improvements they have made at their respective institutions, how they determined which improvements would be most impactful, and the steps they took to budget for and implement them.

About Our Moderators

Dan Hofmann   In his 40+ years of experience, Dan Hofmann, CAPP has worked in several sectors of the parking industry, including municipal, commercial operator, and higher education. Before beginning his 13-year tenure at Clemson, Dan worked for the City of Boston, the New York City Department of Transportation, Harvard University, and a private meter operator. He has served as Clemson University’s Staff Senate President, and he is also a past President and Board Member of the Carolinas Parking and Mobility Association. Dan also served on the New England Parking Council’s Board of Directors.
 
  Sheryl Boyd has worked at Chapman University, in Orange, California, for over 20 years. In her role, she manages the daily parking, shuttle, and transportation operations for the institution, which has an approximate student population of 10,000, over 7,000 parking spaces spread across three cities, and operates a fleet of 19 shuttles. Sheryl is an active member of IPMI and the California Parking and Mobility Association, and she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Campus Parking and Transportation Association.
