Be one of the very first industry professionals to earn the new APDS Advisor and APDS Technical Specialist Certificates offered by the Alliance for Parking Data Standards (APDS) and its founding partners: IPMI, the British Parking Association (BPA), and the European Parking Association (EPA).

Once you complete the course, you will be awarded the certificate and listed in the new online, searchable directory of professionals and consultants available to offer APDS consulting services.  Directories for these services will be provided at the IPMI and APDS websites for maximum visibility. 

APDS Technical Advisor and Technical Specialist Certificate Training (Sessions 1, 2, and 3): $149.00 

Pricing available for the first course only, regular registration rates will apply for future training at $495.

Designed for those with a more technical background and responsibilities, including IT specialists, data integrators, and all industry professionals to use the APDS specifications and open-source API for integrations and applications.  This course will build on the learning objectives achieved in Sessions 1 and 2, with a deeper diver into the applications and technical requirements for integration of the APDS data specifications into typical software and data applications in the industry.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Explore and apply use cases in detail, applying major concepts and categories in the specification, including Place, Right, Session, Rate, Occupancy/Utilization, Quote, and Observation.
  • Review common APIs and applications and gain a comprehensive understanding of how to apply the open-source API on github through current applications, including the National Parking Platform (NPP).
  • Perform a sample integration and implementation exercise to further provide technical detail that you can apply to new integrations and applications.
  • Use knowledge learned in a detailed API Technical Review discussion with participants and share your experience and industry expertise with APDS experts to help shape future releases of the APDS data specification.

Complete the APDS Technical Specialist Certificate Training and receive a Certificate of Completion valid for three years (2024-2026) as well as inclusion in the new online directory through December 31, 2026.
