Be one of the very first industry professionals to earn the new APDS Advisor Certificate offered by the Alliance for Parking Data Standards (APDS) and its founding partners: IPMI, the British Parking Association (BPA), and the European Parking Association (EPA).

Once you complete the course, you will be awarded the certificate and listed in the new online, searchable directory of professionals and consultants available to offer APDS consulting services.  Directories for these services will be provided at the IPMI and APDS websites for maximum visibility. 

APDS Advisor Certificate Training (Sessions 1 and 2): $99.00.

Pricing available for the first course only, regular registration rates will apply for future training at $295.

Designed for parking, transportation, and mobility professionals in every market segment, this course will focus on owners, operators, and managers of parking assets who will learn about the APDS data specification and how it may be applied in operations of all shapes and sizes. 

Learning Objectives: 

  • Explore the importance, role, and applications data specifications and standards in the industry and express a comprehensive understanding of the intent and purpose of data specifications, key definitions, and APDS’s ISO certification.
  • Describe and apply major concepts and categories in the specification, including Place, Right, Session, Rate, Occupancy/Utilization, Quote, Observation, and more, with a brief overview of the current open source API.
  • Illustrate and discuss the synergies, overlap, and relationships and interactions with other relevant industry data standards, including Automated Valet Parking (AVP), Curb Data Specification (CDS) by Open Mobility Foundation (OMF), Mobility Data Standard (MDS) by Open Mobility Foundation (OMF), and DatexII.
  • Demonstrate the business case through current and relevant real-world application of APDS and multiple use case scenarios in small groups.

Complete the APDS Advisor Certificate Training and receive a Certificate of Completion valid for three years (2024-2026) as well as inclusion in the new online directory through December 31, 2026.
