Matthew Darst

Matt oversees a curbside data science team committed to improving safety, reducing congestion, and striving towards equity and access. He's an advocate of using insights to help drive decisions to improve fairness. Along with his team, Darst has helped support cities rethink fines, reallocate personnel, reexamine booting and collections practices, and change hearing processes to make curbside management equitable. Prior to moving to the private sector, he served as the First Deputy Director of Chicago's Finance Department, managing 450 personnel.
