J.C. Porter, PTMP

As Director of Parking and Transportation at Arizona State University, JC Porter provides executive leadership for one of the largest and most complex university mobility systems in the nation. Responsible for more than 30,000 parking stalls across multiple campuses and leading a team of approximately 130 professionals, JC oversees a comprehensive, self-supporting auxiliary enterprise dedicated to delivering safe, efficient, and innovative mobility solutions in support of ASU’s academic and research mission.

Under JC’s leadership, ASU Parking and Transportation Services maintains its distinction as an IPMI Accredited Parking Organization with Distinction, reflecting a sustained commitment to operational excellence, industry best practices, and continuous improvement. JC guides long-range strategic planning efforts that align mobility initiatives with the university’s growth, sustainability objectives, and forward-thinking vision.

With oversight of complex financial operations, capital planning, and infrastructure development, JC ensures responsible stewardship of significant enterprise resources while advancing modernization through smart parking technologies, data-driven decision-making, and system innovation. This includes expanding multimodal transportation programs, enhancing transit partnerships, supporting micro-mobility integration, and advancing electric vehicle infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the ASU community.

A collaborative and strategic leader, JC works closely with university leadership, faculty, staff, students, and community stakeholders to shape transportation policy and support campus development initiatives.
