Gabe Mendez, PTMP

Gabe Mendez, PTMP, has served as Director of Transportation Operations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since August 2020. In this role, he oversees Garage Operations, Transportation Engineering, Parking Technology, Enforcement, Maintenance, and Fleet & Vehicle Services. He leads the development and implementation of accessible, equitable, and sustainable transportation programs that support pedestrians, bicyclists, commuters, and the university fleet.

Gabe has been a transportation, parking, and mobility professional since 2001. He began his career with Standard Parking (now Metropolis), continued his professional growth with the Downtown Mesa Association, and later held leadership roles at Arizona State University before joining UW-Madison. Throughout his career, he has focused on advancing innovative mobility solutions, operational excellence, and customer-centered transportation services.
